In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a responder attempts to contain recently spilled oil with a boom in the Gulf of Mexico. NOAA focused emergency response efforts on 16 significant pollution incidents and conducted overflights to identify and document oil spills along the Gulf Coast.
