Pioneer Post 1 presented this plaque to the Coast and Geodetic Survey in 1940 for installation on the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey ship E. Lester Jones to commemorate Jones’ founding of the American Legion.
With the NOAA 200th Celebration coming to a close at the end of 2007, maintenance of this Web site ceased. Updates to the site are no longer being made.
