Teacher at Sea Joan Raybourn, from the Greenbrier Intermediate School in Chesapeake, Virginia, helped to deploy a drifter buoy while crossing the shoal area of Georges Bank, off the coast of Maine. Mrs. Raybourn’s students were able to track movement of the buoy as part of the NOAA Adopt-a-Drifter Program.
